Coming soon: Internew's web site http://www.justconvertmp4.com
provides an easy and powerful new way to convert MP4 Audio files to MP3 Audio Files. Listeners
can use popular Internet music tune sites like Apple's iTunes that distribute in MP4 Audio Format and
still listen on their existing portable players, car audio units and home players that play
only MP3 Audio files.
The MP name comes from MPEG, the acronym for the Moving Picture Experts Group. This group is
responsible for developing coded representations of digital audio and video formats. These
formats are adopted by manufacturers when designing portable, car and home audio equipment that
you can play the digital audio music on. MP3 compressed audio file format is often mistaken
as the "MPEG-3" audio format when it is actually part of the the MPEG-1 audio layer 3 standard.
In fact there is not a "MPEG-3" standard. MP3 is a widely adopted digital audio file format used
in portable players, car audio head units as well as home players.
The new MPEG-4 standard is the direct descendant of the MPEG-2 Standard. This audio standard
appears to be one that will be around for a while since it can be extended and additional
features or properties added to it. There does not appear to be a MPEG-5 on the near horizon.
Users can not convert MP4 to MP3 for use in their existing audio equipment including
popular MP3 portable players.
As the music industry struggles with digital audio piracy and as music listeners seek out legal
download sites, digital audio Internet music sites have grown. A leader Apple iTunes
http://www.apple.com/itunes/ boasts over 1 million
tracks from the five major music labels as well as over 100 independent labels. The revolutionary
iTunes Music Store sold over 1 million songs in its first week. iTunes 100 millionth song sold
was achieved in July of 2004. iTunes downloaded music can be listened on the much popular Apple
iPod. However, due to licensing issues the MP4 Audio files can not be read on most other MP3 players.
Users can now enjoy the convenience of purchasing music at the growing legal Internet Music download sites
and still be able to play them on their existing digital audio players, which are predominately MP3 players.
